Jessica Biel was born on March 7, 1982, in Ely, MN, then raised in Boulder, CO.

As a child Jessica initially pursued a career as a vocalist, performing in musical theater. She started to act at the age of nine with roles in "The Sound of Music", "Annie", "Beauty and the Beast", and "Anything Goes". In 1994, while attending Diane Hardin's Young Actor's Space in Los Angeles, Jessica was discovered by her current manager, Jeff Morrone, from Innovative Artists.

Her television series acting debut on the WB's #1-rated show, "7th Heaven" (1996), has helped her emerge as a breakout star.

Voted one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 1999, Jessica did a 180-degree turn with her career when she posed semi-nude for Gear magazine, while underage.

He played in many other films such as New Line Cinema's blockbuster hit The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), New Line Cinema's Cellular (2004) co-starring Kim Basinger and Chris Evans, Lions Gate Films' The Rules of Attraction (2002) for director Roger Avary, the Warner Brothers romantic comedy Summer Catch (2001) co-starring Freddie Prinze Jr., and the Disney holiday film, I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998) with Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

In Cellular (2004), Biel played the spurned romantic interest of a man (Chris Evans) who gets thrown into a high-stakes chase after receiving a random call on his cell phone.

In her spare time she is involved with charities such as Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and PETA. Her hobbies include ballet, soccer, running, yoga and hiking
